We absolutely love the look, design and utility of this classic piece. The OGK Safari Daybed was originally designed in 1962 by Danish designer and cabinet maker Ole Gjerlov-Knudsen. The story goes that he designed it for his grandson who was heading off on a camping trip and didn't want him to sleep on the ground.

Simple, functional and timeless, it can be used in a bedroom, entryway, living room, bathroom or garden.

The daybed is designed using the bucksaw principal. It can be assembled in only a few minutes without the use of screws. The tension created by twisting the sisal rope around the legs is enough to make the bed tight and solid. When not in use it is easily taken apart and slips in a bag with a shoulder strap making it perfect to bring along for any occasion, indoor and outdoor.
